Make yourself at home in Villa Fontane – a spacious three bedroom guesthouse and an independent cottage set in two hectares of grounds with a large heated swimming-pool.
Alban, born into a family of artists, and Jane, a world citizen, welcome you into their picturesque Provencal home.
You will quickly become immersed in village life – many of our products are sourced locally : fresh croissants from Arnaud’s fine-food boutique, a delicious selection of jams made by Jean-François at La Gambade, honey from nearby hills, home-made organic yoghurt and seasonal fruits bought at the market.
Situated in walking distance to the authentic village of La Garde-Freinet with its pedestrian shopping street beneath majestic hills, you are at the centre of the French Riviera and its treasures : Cannes, Nice, Grasse, typical Provencal villages, sandy beaches, crystal waters, bustling markets, hiking trails …

Getting ready for your stay

Villa Fontane provides the following services: lovely rooms with quality bedding; free wifi and onsite parking; a personalised welcome; restaurant bookings, tourist advice; heated swimming pool (May to October); bankcard payment; wooded grounds with picnic and relaxation areas; and a charging point for electric vehicles.

Alban and Jane are a French-Australian couple who will share, in English or French, their twenty-five years’ experience discovering the Gulf of St-Tropez and Provence – beauty spots, panoramic views, delicious affordable restaurants, bric-a-brac markets, artists’ studios, local wineries, magical excursions, walking paths for all levels, and more.

July 2024The location of the B&B, in the beautiful countryside dotted with vineyards and ancient little villages. The wonderful garden. The lovely pool. The comfortable room. But most of all : the truly genuine kindness of hosts Alban and Jane. They know the area so well, and give you the best advice on where to go and what to do. Combining the personal experience with the wonderland being created by Alban in these idyllic surrounds makes this little piece of La Garde-Freinet something which should be included to experience the true feeling of south of France history and heritage.
July 2019The hosts were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond. The rooms are lovely and the bathroom was huge. The pool is gorgeous with plenty of seating around it. Exploring Provence
Grimaud – Grimaud is an historical village dominated by the ruins of an 11th century castle where summer festivals are held with international stars.
